Following the “fabulous and moving” performances of Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music and Brahms’ A German Requiem, the choir lets its hair down singing a wide variety of carols ranging from the English traditional Boar’s Head Carol in a new arrangement by Ronald Corp via a tune from Piae Cantiones from 1582 to the recently composed Star of the East by young British composer, Russell Hepplewhite. http://www.russell-hepplewhite.co.uk/
Joined as ever by the New London Children’s Choir and St Michael’s primary school choir, not to mention the audience, this promises to be a rousing end to the year accompanied by “one of the finest organists of our time”, Daniel Moult. http://www.danielmoult.com/
The concert will begin at 6.00pm and mulled wine and mince pies will be served to get you into the Christmas spirit.
